We first opened doors in 1987 with the sole aim of providing clients with customised, bespoke broking services in the financial markets. We have moved from strength to strength, expanding into different avenues such as NSE, BSE, MSEI (erstwhile MCX-SX) and depository services. OUR MANAGEMENT
Paresh Popat
Paresh has been in the brokerage business for over 30 years. He handles the firm’s retail and finance functions, with a focus on equity sales trading. One of the most valuable lessons he has learned is to be a good perceiver/gauge of character – “it helps you understand the person sitting opposite you – be it client or employee”, he says, “and figure out a way in which you can serve him or her better.” He spends as much time inside his office as outside it – motivating and working with the people he considers to be the backbone of the organisation.
Ashish Popat
Ashish joined our team in 1990, immediately lending the support and stability that a young enterprise required. He has led the Business Development at Unique Stockbro for over 25 years now, seeking innovative and sustainable ways to solve client problems. He is as adept with technology as with the markets and regulations, constantly searching for ways to integrate the two. “Technology reduces the time spent on repetitive tasks, giving us more time to interact with our clients and build stronger ties,” he asserts. Not one to shy away from responsibility, Ashish works closely with his team to ensuring that Unique continues to provide a hassle-free platform to its clients.
